We made George Parker's ad blog. Well kinda.

It was brought to our attention that we have some friends here in Chicago.  Earlier this Summer (though I'm still waiting for warm weather) in George Parker's AdScam blog, a Ms./Mrs. "Windy City Smartass" posted some flattering words in a comment that can be viewed here following the article.

While we have not had the opportunity to work with any agencies referenced in the article, we do value our agency relationships past and present and always look forward to collaborating on more cool digital things that actually help advertisers sell stuff.

That said, it's always nice to have friends.

Social network Pownce got PWND.

Evidently this new economy of ours is now requiring companies to make money.  How uncool.

I find that any web news in mainstream media is noteworthy (versus Fred Shmedlap's blog or similar) in that it usually gives a rather watered-down and somewhat neophyte read to what's really going on - an informed POV for the uninformed.  This article actually provides some insights - particularly Microsoft's play in social media - that even your supervisor can understand .  Whatever.

Here's a stunning example of our world without ad agencies.

Do we really want to go this route?

I'm Japanimated for a Quarter Pounder

Mickey Dee's is testing unbranded Quarter Pounder stores. Six bucks for a burger and no clown? Is it worth the trip? Hell yeah, the store shown looks right out of Blade Runner. I'll have the Double Deckard with cheese!
